Donnie Wingo, crew chief on the No. 41 Dodge driven by Reed Sorenson, was fined $25,000 by NASCAR on Wednesday for an improperly attached weight on the team's car during the Sprint Cup race at Michigan on Sunday.
Travis Geisler, 27, is the new crew chief for Sam Hornish Jr. at Penske Racing, replacing Chris Carrier. Geisler is a former driver who has 12 career Nationwide Series starts. He had been race engineer for Ryan Newman's No. 12 team.
Fans who root for one of six top Sprint Cup drivers can now buy tickets that will let them sit with like-minded fans for the Bank of America 500 and the Dollar General 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in October.
