Two-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart will headline the annual “M&M’s Night of Stars” July 23 at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., which is co-owned by NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader.
In addition to Stewart and Schrader, also scheduled to compete on the 1/3-mile highly banked short track are three-time Truck series champion Ron Hornaday, Camping World series driver Ricky Carmichael and Truck series drivers Brendan Gaughan, Rick Crawford and Dennis Setzer.
The NASCAR drivers will compete in UMP Modifieds and all proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics.
“When you look at guys like Tony Stewart and the schedule they have to keep, it’s amazing that they have any free time at all,” said I-55 Raceway co-owner Ray Marler. “For them to spend that free time here at I-55 Raceway like they have over the years for these charity events, it just shows the level of class they have and the respect they have for the sport and its fans.”
