Kasey Kahne's victory last Sunday at Lowe's Motor Speedway gave Dodge its first win since Ryan Newman's season-opening triumph in the Daytona 500. Kahne's performance means that all four manufacturers competing in Cup now have multiple wins in the first 12 races this season.
Toyota, which leads the way with four wins this season, remains out front in the manufacturer championship points, ahead of Chevrolet 73-71. Ford is a close third with 67 points, while Dodge closed the gap a bit with Kahne's win and trails with 53 points.
Chevy and Ford each have three wins in 2008.
Heading into the weekend, Chevy drivers have won 28 times at Dover, including last June's victory by Martin Truex Jr. Ford drivers have won 23 times at the Monster Mile, while Dodge has captured five wins there, including three by Newman. Toyota, in only its second year in Cup, has yet to win at Dover.
