HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Colin Braun had a bumpy ride and didn't earn a win in his first season in the NASCAR Truck series, but he still came out a winner.

Braun was named rookie of the year following his 14th-place finish in Friday night's Craftsman Truck Series season finale. Braun, who drives the No. 6 Ford for Roush Fenway Racing, started all 25 races, posting three top-five and eight top-10 finishes with a season's-best third place on April 26 at Kansas Speedway.

Braun, 19, said he would have liked to win a race, but the rookie title was one of his goals.

"My guys have done a great job all year and I feel like they really deserve it. I"m really happy to win (the rookie title)," Braun said.

"I'm disappointed a little bit with (the race). I thought we had a pretty decent truck in practice and got in the race there and struggled with it a little bit."
