Weather holds and Said's run stands this time around

    Boris Said had the fastest lap in qualifying for last year's July race at Daytona, but it rained before the session was finished to wipe out that lap and send him home without racing.

    So, naturally, Said had one eye to the sky on Friday.

    "The clouds were hovering around all day and I was so nervous about it," said Said, who ran 185.181 mph to earn the No. 7 starting spot.

    "Thank goodness we got in and got a chance to qualify."
