Notes | Wrigley to split time with Texaco/Havoline on Montoya's Dodges

The Charlotte Observer

Friday, Nov. 16, 2007

Short takes from Friday's Homestead notebook:

  • Wrigley, the maker of Juicy Fruit and Big Red chewing gums, will split the primary sponsorship on Juan Pablo Montoya’s No. 42 Dodges in the 2008 Sprint Cup season. Texaco/Havoline will be on the car for the other half of the 36-race schedule.

  • Jim Beam has re-upped as a primary sponsor for Robby Gordon’s No. 7 Fords for 2008. The company will be on the cars that Gordon owns for 13 Sprint Cup and two Nationwide Series races.

  • JR Motorsports confirmed Friday that Brad Keselowski will run it No. 88 Chevrolets in the Nationwide Series in 2008 with the U.S. Navy returning as its sponsor. The team will use a new “dress white” paint scheme, patterned after the summer uniforms used by sailors. Keselowski, 23, joined the team owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the final 14 races of the 2007 season.
