Childress has help on horizon

Monday, May. 28, 2007

Austin Dillon, the 16-year-old grandson of Cup team owner Richard Childress, said he is ready to join the driver stable at RCR.

Dillon won Friday night's Goodyear Fastrak Challenge late model race at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway in front of a sold-out crowd.

"It's a lot of fun racing for RCR. I hope to get in this deal," he said.

"It's almost like a worldwide sport. I really like Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick and they both give me a ton of advice."
