Dale Earnhardt Jr. will remain on the pole longer than anyone else this season.
Saturday night's Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway was postponed until Sunday after persistent thunderstorms covered the area.
The race is scheduled to start at noon Sunday and will be broadcast on TNT.
It's the first time a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race has been postponed since the 2012 Daytona 500 was moved from Sunday to Monday night.
Earnhardt won the pole for the race on Friday - his first of the season - with a track-record qualifying lap.
Carl Edwards will start second, series points leader Jimmie Johnson third, Kyle Busch fourth and Marcos Ambrose fifth.
