Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. Kyle Busch took advantage of a Jeff Gordon penalty and cruised to a win in Thursdays second Gatorade Duel qualifying race at Daytona International Speedway.
Gordon, who started on the pole, led the way until he made his green-flag pit stop and he was penalized by NASCAR for speeding while entering pit road.
Gordon was forced to pit again to serve a drive-thru penalty while Busch took to the lead. He stayed out front, briefly losing the advantage to Clint Bowyer, before holding off Kasey Kahne for the win.
Austin Dillon finished third, Clint Bowyer was fourth and Matt Kenseth was fifth in the caution-free race.
