Glory Food launches campaign with NASCAR drivers to feed hungry
Tuesday, Jul. 31, 2012
Glory Foods launched its Race to Feeding America campaign Monday by donating 43,000 pounds of food to Charlottes Second Harvest Food Bank.
Among the campaign participants are NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers David Ragan and David Gilliland.
If either wins the Oct. 13 Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, Glory Foods said it will donate $1 million to Feeding America, the nations leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
The campaign seeks to provide enough money and food to exceed 500,000 meals for children nationwide.
Second Harvest is among Feeding Americas 200 member food banks.
