NASCAR's diversity class ready to roll

NASCAR and Revolution Racing unveiled its 2011 Drive for Diversity program driver lineup with 10 drivers participating - four in the K&N Pro Series East and six in the Whelen All-American series.
There are three members of the class from the Carolinas this season, including Concord (N.C.) native and Northwest Cabarrus High senior Darrell Wallace Jr., Trey Gibson of Easley, S.C., and Tayla Orleans of Randleman, N.C.
Also a part of this years class are Jorge Arteaga of Aguascalientes, Mexico, Mackena Bell of Carson City, Nev., Jessica Brunelli of Hayward, Calif., Michael Cherry of Valrico, Fla., Ryan Gifford of Winchester, Tenn., Bryan Ortiz of Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Sergio Pena of Winchester, Va.
Last year, the 11 drivers combined for five wins. Wallace became the youngest rookie of the year winner in the history of the K&N Pro Series East.
