Some short takes from the NASCAR notebook:
Halloween at the Hall
Families can take part in "HALLoween at the Hall" this weekend at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.
Children 12 and younger in costume will be admitted free Saturday and Sunday.
On the schedule are face painting, a magician, balloon artist, caricature artist and more. All activities are free with general admission.
Event boosts scholarship fund
Twenty NASCAR drivers and personalities joined more than 1,000 fans in generating donations and pledges valued at $150,000 this month at the Jail and Bail charity event in Davidson, N.C.
The effort benefits the Brienne Davis Scholarship Fund at Universal Technical Institute campuses, including the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville.
In the three years the event has been held, more than $300,000 has been raised for scholarships for qualified women.
Keselowski could clinch at Texas
If Brad Keselowski can come out of the Nationwide Series race at Texas next week with at least a 391-point lead over second place, he will clinch his first series championship and the first NASCAR title for car owner Roger Penske.
