Saturday, Sep. 04, 2010
HAMPTON, Ga. – Reed Sorenson, who has been driving the No. 83 Toyota for Red Bull Racing in the Sprint Cup Series while Brian Vickers recovers from a blood clotting problem, said Saturday he hopes to be back with Braun Racing to drive a full season in the Nationwide Series next season.
At the moment, Sorenson, 24, said the Braun deal is his only likely scenario for 2011, but he hopes to run in the Cup series.
Sorenson has made 18 starts in Nationwide for Braun this season, with six top-five and 14 top-10 finishes. The driver has two runner-up finishes this season, at Nashville and Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis.
In seven Cup starts with Red Bull this season, Sorenson's best finish was eighth at the July race at Daytona.
