Ferrari wins best in show

A 1963 Ferrari Testa Rosa owned by an Englishman was named AutoFair's best in show Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The Ferrari is owned by Jim Rose of Farnham, England. Rose worked as a designer at Holman Moody, the legendary operation that built many of the factory Fords that were raced in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.He has owned it for 20 years.
While working racing enterprises founded and run by such legends as Carroll Shelby, Colin Chapman and Bruce McLaren, Rose had a hand in building cars driven by a number of champions.
His award-winning Ferrari is stored at Holman Moody's facility in Charlotte.

Most creative – Tom Goodman of Cornelius, N.C., for his 1965 Corvair.
Best paint – Robin Pendagraft of Mount Holly, N.C. for his 1969 Camaro.
Best restoration by owner – Graylin Carter of Colfax, N.C., for his 1978 AMC-AMX.
Ladies' choice – Chuck Glenn of Mooresville, N.C., for his 1948 Pontiac Silver Street.
