Junior Johnson will be signing copies of the That's Racin' magazine commemorating the first class of inductees into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, "Junior, Richard & Dale," Friday from 4-6 p.m. at The Observer's booth on Food Lion Speed Street.
The magazines, plus a limited number of coupons guaranteeing an autograph, are available at the Observer's Speed Street booth starting at noon Friday. The Observer's booth is on Tryon Street between Third and Fourth streets. A packet that includes the magazine and a coupon is $10.
No items other than the That's Racin' commemorative magazine will be signed. If you have a coupon for a signature, you must be in line by 5:30 p.m. to be guaranteed a signature.
Also available for autographs will be former Observer motorsports reporter Tom Higgins, whose work is featured in the magazine, and Johnson's son, up-and-coming racer Robert Johnson.
In case of rain, the autograph session will move to the Observer's lobby at 600. S. Tryon Street.
