Earnhardt, hall on new Wheaties box
Friday, May. 21, 2010
The late Dale Earnhardt will appear on commemorative Wheaties boxes in conjunction with his induction into NASCAR's new Hall of Fame.
General Mills unveiled the cereal box on Friday, which features a picture of Earnhardt wearing his race suit and sunglasses, his famous No. 3 Chevrolet and a Hall of Fame logo.
Earnhardt was also featured on the Wheaties box in 1997. He's the first NASCAR driver to appear twice.
The seven-time Cup champion, who died on a last-lap crash in the 2001 Daytona 500, will be inducted into Hall of Fame on Sunday. Bill France Sr., Bill France Jr., Richard Petty and Junior Johnson round out the first class.
