NASCAR's Harvick, RCR extend deal

CONCORD, N.C. - Sprint Cup series points leader Kevin Harvick has agreed to a contract extension with Richard Childress Racing, the Observer and ThatsRacin.com have learned.
The deal is expected to be announced at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at a news conference at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
On Friday, team owner Richard Childress said he expected to be able to announce something "by the end of the week."
Harvick has 12 Cup wins in nine-plus seasons with RCR, including a win in this season's race at Talladega, Ala.
