MARTINSVILLE, Va. The Goody's 500 has started at Martinsville Speedway after rain postponed the Sprint Cup race until noon Monday.
The race is being broadcast live on Fox.
The weather forecast looks favorable early Monday, but there's a 30 percent chance of rain in the afternoon and storms are expected Monday night.
Kevin Harvick, the series points leader, started from the pole. Matt Kenseth started second. The field was set by rules after qualifying was rained out Friday afternoon.
Denny Hamlin, who was scheduled to have surgery Monday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, will have his surgery postponed until Wednesday.
