Stocks for Tots roster growing
Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009
The roster of racing celebrities is growing as the popular Stocks for Tots event approaches in Mooresville, N.C.
In its 25th season, the annual event – Dec. 7 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center – brings drivers, crew chiefs, and other members of the racing community together with fans for worthy causes.
The Iredell County SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) organization will be this year's beneficiary.
Twenty-five or more active drivers, crew chiefs and team executives in NASCAR and other stock car racing series have committed. They'll be joined by many from the IndyCar Series and the NHRA.
Also scheduled to take part are many former competitors and racing figures.
General admission wristbands will be available on the day of the event for $10 and a new, unwrapped toy. These are required for admission, with entry based on wristband number, and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Premium wristband numbers are being sold – for $100 each, $175 for two – through Dec. 7 at the N.C. Auto Racing Hall of Fame in Mooresville.
