Hamlin to have knee surgery
Friday, Nov. 20, 2009
HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Driver Denny Hamlin will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee next Wednesday but expects a full recovery within a few weeks.
"There will be a couple of weeks of recovery before I can get back to what I usually do," said Hamlin. "As long as I can walk around in a few days, I'll be fine."
Hamlin said he had some tearing in his right knee.
"I've been having problems with it, like when I get out of the car," he said. "It's really stiff and the joints hurt a lot. It's something that needs to be done for the long run."
