Kyle Busch will be getting a new crew chief in the Sprint Cup Series, but one with whom he's familiar.

Joe Gibbs Racing announced Tuesday that Dave Rogers will take over as Busch's crew chief with the No. 18 Toyota in the Cup series beginning with the Nov. 8 race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Steve Addington, who served as Busch's crew chief the past two seasons, will be reassigned to another position following this weekend's race at Talladega, Ala.

"We evaluate all of our teams on an ongoing basis and believe this is a change that will make the No. 18 team stronger as we prepare for next season," said J.D. Gibbs, JGR's president.

"We think highly of Steve and the job he has done and we look forward to him remaining a part of the JGR family."

Rogers is in his fourth season as crew chief of JGR's No. 20 Nationwide Series team, which won that series' car owner championship in 2008 with nine wins - one with Busch as the driver. The team has five wins so far this season.

"Dave has proven himself a talented crew chief and we think he will work well with Kyle," Gibbs said.

"We hope that by making the move following this weekend's race at Talladega they can use the final three weeks of this season to begin working on communication and set-ups for the 2010 season."
