Truck series schedule expected to change for 2010
Friday, Jun. 12, 2009
BROOKLYN, Mich. - There will likely be changes to the 2010 NASCAR Truck Series schedule, the Observer and ThatsRacin.com have learned.
At least one current race will be dropped while others could be added, multiple sources said.
At least one new race is excpected to be at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, sources said.
"Discussions are ongoing with NASCAR about bringing a Camping World Truck Series race back to Darlington Raceway in 2010. Although nothing has been finalized, we're always interested in bringing new events to the facility," track spokesman Jake Harris said.
Darlington hosted four Truck races from 2001 to 2004. The events were popular with fans, Harris said.
NASCAR is still working through its sanctioning agreement process for its 2010 schedule for Cup, Nationwide and Trucks.
