close6th - Martin Truex Jr. | Doing what needs doing
DAVID POOLE
The Charlotte Observer
Sunday, Sep. 16, 2007
Martin Truex Jr. said all week he wanted to get off to a good start in his first Chase and he did that, finishing fifth.
“I wish the race was longer,” Truex said.
“I usually don’t say that. But we had a good car at the end of the race. It just took us a while.
"We started the race real, real tight and it took us pretty much all day to get the car working where we needed it to.
“...We did what we needed to do. We didn’t have the best car today and we got a great finish.”
