LONG POND, Pa. - Count Jeff Gordon among those impressed with Kurt Busch’s dominating win.
“If (Busch) didn’t exist today, then maybe some of us had a chance to win this thing, but wow. That’s all I can say is ‘wow,’ ” Gordon said. “We actually had a stronger car than the last time we were here.”
That’s saying a lot since Gordon won the June race that was shortened from 200 to 106 laps because of bad weather.
“We got the car to where it was a top two or three car and then we knew we weren’t going to win, so we started making some adjustments to make it better,” Gordon said.
“We actually got a little bit behind so we had to go back on those adjustments but we were pretty good there at the end.”
