The Elevator | Hendrick teams headed to the top?

    The Charlotte Observer

    Sunday, Oct. 07, 2007

Riding on the racing elevator down in Alabama:

    UP – Hendrick Motorsports

Second 1-2 finish for Gordon and Johnson at Talladega this year, and they’re also 1-2 in points. Casey Mears, meanwhile, finished sixth.

    SIDEWAYS – Talladega racing

More single-file racing than usual in a plate race and it wasn’t nearly as wild as some expected it to be.

DOWN – Richard Childress/Dale Earnhardt Inc engines

It’s hard to imagine a valid reason for one group having this many problems in one race.
