Riding the racing elevator, examining the outcome at Phoenix International Raceway:
UP - Jimmie Johnson
Nobody had won four straight since 1998. Nobody has won five straight since Richard Petty did it between July 11 and Aug. 1 in 1971.
DOWN -- "Championship Weekend" at Homestead
At least there's still some doubt about who will win the Craftsman Truck series title.
UP - Sam Hornish Jr.
Made the race, got 311 laps of experience and didn't cause any trouble in his Cup debut.
