Team's assist expected to help rev interest in annual Stocks for Tots event
Monday, Nov. 02, 2009
Stocks for Tots, in its 25th season of bringing drivers, crew chiefs, and other members of the racing community together with fans for worthy causes, is going Truck series racing.
Driver Tayler Malsam and his team have donated sponsorship on their truck for the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 20. Don Miller, chairman of the Stocks for Tots Foundation, likes the timing with the organization’s big annual event scheduled soon after, on Dec. 8, in Mooresville, N.C.
“Having Stocks for Tots featured on Tayler's truck this year will bring a great deal of awareness to our cause,” Miller said. “Our foundation could not be more appreciative.”
The popular Stocks for Tots event will be at the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville. The Iredell County SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) organization will be this year's beneficiary.
Wristbands are required for admission, with entry based on wristband number.
General admission wristbands will be available on the day of the event for $10 and a new, unwrapped toy, and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Premium wristband numbers are being sold – for $100 each, $175 for two – through Dec. 7 at the N.C. Auto Racing Hall of Fame in Mooresville.
