Contrary to multiple radio and Internet reports, no teams at Richard Petty Motorsports will change manufacturers before the conclusion of the 2009 Sprint Cup Series season.

Several reports Monday indicated driver Kasey Kahne's at RPM would change over to Toyota before the end of the season while one or more of the remaining teams at the organization would remain with Dodge.

Team officials told the Observer Monday afternoon that was not true.

"Richard Petty Motorsports has no plans to switch manufacturers in 2009 with any of our Cup cars," said team spokesman Drew Brown. "Our people plan to keep winning races with Dodge like they did Sunday and later this year put Dodges in the Chase."

Kahne won Sunday's road course race at Sonoma, Calif. -- his first win of the season and the first for RPM. Kahne is now 13th in the series standings, one spot outside the cutoff to make the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

AJ Allmendinger, Reed Sorenson and Elliott Sadler also drive Dodges for RPM. Allmendinger and Sadler both finished in the top 10 in Sunday's race.
