Townley to join Childress team

FORT WORTH, Texas – Driver John Wes Townley will join Richard Childress Racing in 2010 to run a full season in the Nationwide Series.
Townley, 19, is completing his first full season in the series. The Watkinsville, Ga., native is 24th in the standings and has competed in 23 of the 32 events.
"It's a thrill to be part of their organization. They have such a well-respected history and have produced solid results over the years," Townley said.
"I'm confident we'll run well next season."
The number to be used by RCR for the Townley's team hasn't been revealed. Townley's best series finish was 16th at the spring race at Bristol, Tenn.
