Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009
JTG Daugherty Racing, which already announced it would continue its deal to run out of Michael Waltrip next season, has extended the agreement of the technical alliance through 2011.
JTG Daugherty fields the No. 47 Toyota for driver Marcos Ambrose. The new deal now matches Ambrose’s driver contract with JTG, which is through the 2011 season.
In his first full season of Cup competition, Ambrose is 17th in points with four top-five and seven top-10 finishes. His best performance is a second at Watkins Glen, N.Y.
He also won the Nationwide race at the Glen for the second consecutive season.
