Fans show their support for their favorite pit crew during NASCAR pit competition held at Time Warner Cable Arena. ROBERT LAHSER - rlahser@charlotteobserveotteobserver.com
There's always a lot going on in the Charlotte area, but the pace quickens noticeably when there's racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
This October, there's even more for fans to do as the NASCAR Hall of Fame gets down to business with the selection of the inaugural class of five inductees.
The schedule is packed with racing – from Sprint cars power-sliding around the dirt track to Sprint Cup cars slugging it out at the 1.5-mile speedway – to driver appearances and concerts and much, much more.
To help fans stay dialed in, we're linking to the speedway's really cool Fan Guide and the Observer's events listings.
The searchable Zvents database boasts entertainment and dining guides in addition to racing-related activities and events.
And if there's an event you know about that's missing, it can be added faster than a four-tire pit stop under green.
